   About us

Sea and Navy was born from the meeting of sea lovers journalists, and a young consulting firm, who shared the same desire to inform daily about the sea and the human comunities structured around it.

Vincent Groizeleau
Chief Editor

After graduating from the Tours School of Journalism, France, he starts his career in "Le Parisien" (Paris leading newspaper) prior joining Radio France (French State Group of Radios) where he works for local stations. Than he joins France Info (first news radio), beginning at the stories&reports department, followed by 2 years as a presenter of the news.
Descended from a sailors and naval dockyards workers family, he co-founds MeretMarine.com in May 2005, after a one year long analysis of how to deal with the maritime news in the Internet era.
Correspondent of the weekly specialized newspaper "Le Marin", Vincent Groizeleau is a member of the Defense Journalists Association (AJD Association des Journalistes de Défense).


Gildas Le Cunff de Kagnac
Publishing Manager

Historian, he starts his career as search assistant of art historian than a journalist. He continues his career as the communication manager of a big Nantes Bookshop, before becoming chief editor and project manager for a communication agency.
Later on, he founds with Vincent Groizeleau a structure dedicated to publishing consulting, and the meeting of the University world and the Business world. This structure is publishes Sea and Navy.
He also works now for a group of cities in the west of France.


André Pitié
IT and Marketing

Graduated from Sup de Co Reims (Reims Management School) in 2000 et current general secretary of RMS Network (Alumni Association of Reims Management School), André Pitié mixes marketing and IT since 1997.
He starts his career working for EDS, L'Oréal and Deloitte. In 2000, he receives a Clic d'Or (French equivalent of Webby Awards) for Toutelachine.com. The same year, he creates his company : Trombi.com. In 2002, he joins the realestate media company "Groupe A Vendre A Louer" as marketing manager for 2 years. In 2004, he is project manager at the marketing department of EFFIA, French Railways (SNCF) subsidiary. He is now the Marketing Manager of Trombi.com, the French subsidiary of Classmates.com.
